What about health insurance?
During COAT it is required that you have health insurance coverage. It is encouraged that you stay on your current insurance plan or take out a temporary/short-term plan. A third option is to join NMSI group health plan. Once you finish the COAT program you will be covered under the NMSI group insurance plan.
Do I need to change car insurance coverage?
You should check with your current car insurance company to make sure that they cover
Florida residents. If you are staying here for three months or less then you will not be officially changing residency to
Florida.
VEHICLES
Do I need to bring a car?
There are NMSI owned vehicles available for use while living in this community. Some community residents choose to bring their personal cars to Ft. Myers, but it is not necessary.
