What does the COAT program cost?
$2990 for an individual
$5540 for couples
$6770 for a family with one child
Each additional child add $500

This amount includes the minimum funding needed to live on the CGO campus for 8 1/2 weeks, program cost, and insurance.

What are some suggestions for raising monies for the COAT program?
Because support raising will be covered in detail during the COAT program, we suggest that your approach to COAT is as a short-term project. Make a list of 10-15 people who are family, friends, and close acquaintances. Ask in the most personal way (in person over dinner/coffee or over the phone if distance doesn’t allow meeting face to face) and be specific in explaining the purpose of COAT. Remember, you will probably be asking them for long term support after COAT, so keep that clear in your communication.

Where does money given to NMSI, designated in my name, really go? Do I ever lose access to it?
The money that comes designated for your ministry will be used for your ministry (including your approved budget for salary, health insurance, housing, ministry related expenses, etc.) as long as you are an employee of NMSI. Keep in mind that 10% of every dollar is automatically designated for administrative costs (team share). New Mission Systems International honors preference of gifts solicited while in accordance with IRS regulations retains discretion and control over their use.

What is the purpose of Team Share?
Team Share is used for all of the administrative costs that are not covered by individual support such as NMSI publications, your personal newsletters, postage, office supplies, mailing list maintenance, etc. No salaries are paid out of this account. NMSI must turn in an IRS corporate filing 990, receipts and an annual audit.
