What should I bring down to Ft. Myers with me?
If you are going to be living on campus, then your room will be furnished and the essentials will be provided (including towels, sheets, kitchen utensils, etc.). All rooms will have a bed, dresser, closet or storage, and possibly a bookshelf or desk (depending on the size of the room). There is no need to (and we request that you do not) bring your own furniture. Those of you who are in the COAT program will basically need a suitcase of clothes and a few other personal items. You can count on everything necessary to be provided for you. If you own a laptop computer, bring it also (wireless internet is available).
What are NMSI office hours? Dress?
NMSI office hours are 8 am-5 pm Eastern Time. This includes office devotions that are held daily at 8:15 am. Attire for the office should be appropriate for a surprise visit from one of your supporters. On Tuesdays, it is required to dress “Business Casual.”
What living/housing policies will I have on campus?
If you are single, you will have roommates. As part of your House Covenant, all roommates on campus are expected to sit down and discuss certain issues regarding their home such as: groceries, cleaning, guests, laundry, personal space, trash, recycling, etc. If you are married with or without children, remember that there will be others living here after you.
